Product overview

Product Overview

Reef Ignition Pack – Nannochloropsis Phytoplankton Culture & Copepod Bundle includes live cultures of Nannochloropsis, Tisbe biminiensis, Tigriopus californicus, Apocyclops panamensis for supplemental marine aquarium feeding and live-food culture use. The phytoplankton and copepod components should be handled and dosed according to their separate labels.

The bundle provides organism and particle variety, but it is not a complete diet and does not guarantee culture establishment, reproduction, fish acceptance, coral coloration, nutrient reduction, or system stability. Product composition and culture density naturally vary.

Keep each component labeled, introduce conservatively, and follow the current storage, shipping, and Live Arrival Policy.

Coordinated culture system

A pack should solve a job—not just bundle bottles.

PodDrop starter packs and bundles group complementary live cultures around a defined aquarium or culture objective. Each included culture remains a separate biological product with its own handling requirements.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Copepod + phytoplankton system — see product description for the exact included bottles

Exact composition and bottle formats are shown in the product description. PodDrop does not imply fixed organism ratios unless a ratio is explicitly stated on the product.

Format
Multi-bottle culture system
Primary role
Coordinated setup, feeding, seeding, or diversity strategy
Included products
Use the product description for the exact current bottle list
Handling
Keep each separately labeled culture distinct and follow its directions

Designed around an objective

The pack groups cultures that address a defined reef, refugium, live-feed, or microalgae objective.

Separate cultures, coordinated use

Included bottles remain separately identified. Do not combine, store, or handle them as though every culture has identical requirements.

A practical starting point

Use the pack as a structured starting system, then move to targeted single cultures as the aquarium or production program develops.

Starter-system protocol

Receive → identify → use in sequence → refine.

Starter packs are most useful when they simplify the first decision. They do not eliminate the need to handle each included culture correctly.

01

1 — Receive & identify

Open the shipment promptly and keep every separately labeled culture identified.

02

2 — Follow each bottle

Use the storage and handling directions for each included copepod or phytoplankton culture; do not apply one universal routine.

03

3 — Apply to the objective

Seed, feed, or culture according to the purpose of the specific pack and the product description.

04

4 — Move to targeted cultures

Once the system is established, replenish or expand with the single species or strain that best matches the next objective.

CHOOSE THIS FORMAT WHEN

When this format makes sense

Choose a starter pack when you want a coordinated first system or a convenient multi-culture purchase built around one objective.

CONSIDER ANOTHER FORMAT WHEN

When to choose a single culture instead

Choose individual products when you already know the exact species, strain, bottle format, or protocol you need.

Key benefits & applications
Includes labeled cultures of Nannochloropsis, Tisbe biminiensis, Tigriopus californicus, and Apocyclops panamensis
Provides phytoplankton and copepod components for supplemental marine feeding
Adds organism and particle variety to a live-food program
Components can be handled and dosed according to their separate labels
Species highlights
Labeled components: Nannochloropsis, Tisbe biminiensis, Tigriopus californicus, Apocyclops panamensis. Keep each identity tied to the corresponding culture record and product label. Do not infer fixed counts, equal ratios, coexistence, or a complete nutritional profile from the number of species included.
Nutritional profile
Microalgal composition varies with the verified strain, growth phase, culture medium, light, temperature, harvest timing, and storage. General research about a species does not establish the composition of a particular retail bottle.

PodDrop does not guarantee fixed percentages of protein, lipid, EPA, DHA, pigments, vitamins, or antioxidants unless supported by a current lot- or product-specific analysis. Use as supplemental live feed or culture material; no coral color, growth, immunity, recovery, or water-quality outcome is guaranteed.

Live copepods provide intact moving prey and can contribute life-stage and behavioral variety to a marine feeding program. Their biochemical composition varies with species, developmental stage, culture diet, harvest timing, and post-harvest handling.

PodDrop does not guarantee fixed percentages of protein, lipid, EPA, DHA, amino acids, carotenoids, or vitamins unless a current product-specific laboratory analysis is published. Use as supplemental live prey within a varied feeding program, not as a complete diet or a treatment for health, color, immunity, or disease.
How to add or use
Keep each component in its original labeled container until use. Follow the copepod and phytoplankton directions separately; do not combine or dose every component automatically. Introduce conservative amounts, monitor water quality, and adjust future use to the aquarium’s response. Establishment, feeding response, and bloom control are not guaranteed.
Storage & care
Store each component according to its own label; the copepod and phytoplankton bottles may have different temperature, light, and holding requirements. Keep containers protected from heat and freezing, use clean tools, and avoid cross-contamination. Use live components promptly and by their stated dates.
Live Arrival Policy

PodDrop’s Live Arrival Policy covers the condition of eligible live products at the carrier’s first delivery attempt. If a culture appears nonviable, materially leaking, missing, or incorrect because of a PodDrop packing or fulfillment error, contact PodDrop within 2 hours of the carrier’s recorded delivery time.

Keep the culture and all original packaging. Before adding, transferring, feeding, or discarding the product, provide your order number, delivery timestamp, a concise description, and clear photographs or video showing the culture in its original container, the shipping box and insulation, any damage or unusual condition, and the shipping label.

PodDrop reviews each report using the order record, carrier tracking, delivery conditions, packaging, documentation, and reported handling after delivery. If a claim is approved, PodDrop may provide a replacement of the affected item or store credit, depending on the circumstances and current product availability.

Coverage does not guarantee establishment, reproduction, continued survival, feeding response, aquarium performance, or compatibility after receipt. Read the complete Live Arrival Policy for eligibility requirements, exclusions, and submission instructions.

Shipping schedule
Orders containing live products ship on PodDrop’s published live-product schedule using the carrier service stated at checkout. PodDrop may delay dispatch when weather or carrier conditions create an avoidable live-shipping risk.

Because live products are perishable, they are not returnable after shipment. Qualifying delivery-condition reports are governed by the current Live Arrival Policy and its 2-hour documentation requirement. Request order changes before fulfillment begins.
Responsible handling
Cultured and packed at PodDrop’s Arizona aquaculture facility (AQ License #91). This facility statement is not a claim that a culture is axenic, sterile, pathogen-free, parasite-free, or free of every incidental organism unless a current lot-specific test states otherwise.

Wash hands after handling, use dedicated culture tools when possible, prevent cross-contamination among cultures, and never release aquarium organisms or culture water into natural waterways. Follow all applicable local rules.
