Broader prey profile
Combining species can provide different relative prey sizes and movement patterns across the culture.

Multi-species live culture
Different copepod species vary in relative size, swimming behavior, habitat use, and visibility. A blend broadens the biological profile compared with a single species.
Exact composition and bottle formats are shown in the product description. PodDrop does not imply fixed organism ratios unless a ratio is explicitly stated on the product.
Combining species can provide different relative prey sizes and movement patterns across the culture.
Benthic, surface-associated, mixed-zone, and more pelagic tendencies differ by species, creating a more varied microfauna profile.
Useful when the goal is multi-species reef seeding or live-prey diversity rather than one narrowly targeted copepod profile.
Blend protocol
A mixed copepod bottle is a diversity tool. Establishment and persistence still depend on habitat, food availability, predation pressure, and husbandry.
Identify protected rockwork, substrate, or refugium areas appropriate for the species included in the blend.
Follow the product directions and place the culture where the intended habitat and predation conditions are favorable.
Provide compatible food and suitable habitat where appropriate; do not assume a bottle guarantees long-term establishment.
Use visible behavior, reef conditions, and future feeding goals to decide whether to continue the blend or move to a targeted single species.
Choose a blend when broader copepod diversity is more useful than targeting one exact prey size or habitat profile.
Choose a single species for hatchery protocols, research, targeted culture work, or any application requiring a defined organism.

PodDrop’s Live Arrival Policy covers the condition of eligible live products at the carrier’s first delivery attempt. If a culture appears nonviable, materially leaking, missing, or incorrect because of a PodDrop packing or fulfillment error, contact PodDrop within 2 hours of the carrier’s recorded delivery time.
Keep the culture and all original packaging. Before adding, transferring, feeding, or discarding the product, provide your order number, delivery timestamp, a concise description, and clear photographs or video showing the culture in its original container, the shipping box and insulation, any damage or unusual condition, and the shipping label.
PodDrop reviews each report using the order record, carrier tracking, delivery conditions, packaging, documentation, and reported handling after delivery. If a claim is approved, PodDrop may provide a replacement of the affected item or store credit, depending on the circumstances and current product availability.
Coverage does not guarantee establishment, reproduction, continued survival, feeding response, aquarium performance, or compatibility after receipt. Read the complete Live Arrival Policy for eligibility requirements, exclusions, and submission instructions.
